Restarting the Dongle Service via Task Manager

This article will take you through the process of getting your dongle service restarted and the software working again. 

On occasion, you may get the following warning which means the hasplms service has stopped running, therefore the software will not open when you click the icon. To fix this issue please follow the four-step procedure below.

Step 1.

On the task bar at the very bottom of your screen, right click and select “Task Manager” (or press Ctrl + Alt + Delete).

Step 2.

You will need to select the tab called “Services” and then scroll down until you see hasplms(sometimes you will have to press ‘More Details’ to the bottom left of the box to see all tabs).

Step 3.

Now if it shows as “Stopped” in the status column, right click on the hasplms row and click “Start”.

Step 4.

You can now click on the desktop shortcut and load up the software as normal.
